Chill Roller / Cooling Conveyors
Sequence of Operation
Molten product is fed onto the water chilled pinch roller assembly by an extruder. Product is compressed into a flazt ribbon of even thickness as it passes through the pinch roller assembly. Water passing through the rollers removes heat from the product. Product passes through the rollers, lays in the cooling conveyor and becomes a brittle solid sheet of uniform thickness. Passing through the granulator roller at end of colling conveyor, the product is broken into small flakes for transfer into a mill for further processing.
