Size reduction milling systems are at the heart of DSI Technologies. The residence time of milled sorbent materials with pollutants | occurring within the flue-gas stream at a target temperature window | determines the pollutant capture and neutralization level. By increasing the surface size of the sorbent, you are creating a greater contact area for adherence of toxins to the sorbent surface and therefore achieving a higher pollutant capture value.
- Proven performance | meets International Environmental Regulations |
- Primary pollutant capture | SO2, SO3, HCl |
- Marginal pollutant capture | HF, Hg, PM10, PM2.5, H2S, H2SO4 |
- Low comparative capital cost
- Integrates with existing emissions control technologies
- Reduced impact on ash handling/waste disposal
About CMS Sorbent Technology
CMS engineered and constructed Solvay Chemical’s SOLVAir® sorbent production facility located at Owensboro Riverport, Kentucky, the supplier to a regional coal-fired baseload power generation station. The CMS/Solvay facility, one of the largest sorbent production sites in the United States, produces Solvay’s SOLVAir® SBC product at a flow rate of 6MT/hour at <20µm d90.
